House Shoe Pattern
Size 10ish needle.
CO 22 stitches.
Row 1: K9, inc. in each of the next 4 sts., K9
Row 2: K8, inc. 1, K8, inc. 1, K8
Row 3: K across
Repeat rows 2 & 3 until length reaches from heel to ball of foot.
Work in K1P1 ribbing until total length of foot.
Cut yarn, leaving a long tail. Bring tail through the sts. on the needle, pull tight, and sew up the seam, leaving an opening for the foot.
Sew heel seem, weaving in all ends.
Add pom-pom if desired.
This pattern is suitable for any size foot. Simply knit it the desired length. A nice touch is to use double-stranded yarn. This makes the slipper very thick, cozy and long-lasting.
Knitted Dish Cloth Pattern
The pattern is easy: CO 4. Row 1: K1, inc. 1, K across. Repeat until desired stitiches, 35-40 is a nice size. Then, K1 dec. 1, K across until 4 stitches; bind off.
Christmas Stocking Pattern
Size 9 needle
Stockinette Stitch: K1 row, P 1 row, repeat
Cast on 54 stitches.
Knit 44 rows in stockinette stitch in cuff color.
Knit 40 rows in stockinette stitch stocking color.
Knit 27 stitches and place on stitch holder.
Join heel color and knit remaining 27 stitches.
Work heel as follows:
Row 1: P 25, slip 1, turn
Row 2: K 23, slip 1, turn
Row 3-12: Continue as established, working 2 less stitches each row,k until K3, slip 1.
P 27 stitches.
Join stocking color and P 27 from stitch holder 54 stitches.
Knit 32 rows in stockinette stitch.
Join tow color and work as follows:
Row 1: K27, turn, put remaining stitches on holder.
Row 2: P 26, slip 1, turn
Row 3: K 25, slip 1, turn
Rows 4-25: Continue as established, decrease 1 stitch until K3, slip 1, turn.
Row 26: P 4, slip 1, turn
Row 27: K 5, slip 1, turn
Row 28-49: Continue as established until K27, slip 1, turn.
Row 50: P 27
With needle head at center of stocking, place 27b stitches from holder onto other needle. With these 2 needles together and wrong side facing, use a third needle to bind off one main color and one contrast color stitch together each time. Cut yarn.
Finish by sewing seams, adding embellishments, etc
